The venue
About LB Arena
LB Arena — the Long Beach Arena, part of the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center — is a multi-purpose indoor arena at the waterfront in downtown Long Beach. The arena has hosted concerts, boxing events, and large conventions since the complex opened in 1978. It is located steps from the Long Beach waterfront and a short walk from the Metro A Line's Downtown Long Beach station.
For LA28, LB Arena is the exclusive home of Olympic Handball. With 46 sessions over three weeks — easily the highest session count of any Long Beach venue — it runs from Men's and Women's preliminary rounds on July 12 through the gold medal matches on July 27 (Men's) and July 28 (Women's). It will share the Long Beach venue cluster with LB Aquatics Center.
More venue details coming. LA28 has not yet released gate assignments, parking logistics, or on-site fan experience details for LB Arena. Check back as official pre-Games information is published.
Getting here: The Metro A Line (Blue) stops at Downtown Long Beach Station, approximately a 10-minute walk from LB Arena along Ocean Blvd. The station connects to central LA (Union Station) in about 45–60 minutes. Long Beach Transit provides local bus connections. Rideshare drop-off will be designated closer to the Games.

Transit & Parking
Metro A Line (Blue)
Downtown Long Beach Station is roughly a 10-minute walk west along Ocean Blvd to LB Arena. The A Line connects to Union Station / Downtown LA in about 45–60 minutes, providing a direct connection to the broader Metro network and other LA28 venues.
Driving & parking
The Long Beach Convention Center has nearby parking structures. The 710 Freeway and Ocean Blvd are the main access routes by car. Rideshare pickup zones will be designated by LA28 closer to the Games.
Olympics traffic disclaimer: Long Beach will see heightened activity across its venue cluster during LA28. With 3 sessions per day on many dates, plan transit carefully to avoid overlap with session start and end times. The Metro A Line is the most reliable option for fans coming from elsewhere in LA.
